A rooftop solar plant is more than panels on a roof. Grid synchronization, net-metering and the MNRE subsidy each need drawings and documents in the right order. Here is how that process works on an Augzet project.
A grid-connected solar plant often makes more power than the building uses at midday and less than it needs at night. Net-metering is the arrangement with the utility, KSEB in Kerala, that lets the plant export its surplus to the grid and lets you draw from the grid when the plant is not producing, with the two accounted for against each other.
The MNRE rooftop solar subsidy is registered through documentation that goes with the project: the drawing set, the plant details and the commissioning records. Augzet prepares that documentation as part of the project, not afterwards, and registers the subsidy at commissioning. One client's subsidy was credited 40 days after commissioning. That is our fastest, not a guarantee, because processing times vary.
